Factors associated with facilitating advance care planning based on the theory of planned behaviour

Abstract Background In Japan, educational support for advance care planning is still limited, and the factors facilitating practice have not been identified. The aim of this study to identify associated with in Japan using theory planned behaviour. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional through nationwide online questionnaire survey 446 Japanese residents aged 20 years older. After categorizing participants into two groups based on who performed planning, comparisons were made (univariate analysis) regarding attitudes towards willingness perform subjective norms, sense control performing presence relationship family doctor, experience seeing or ventilator, degree self-determination (Autonomy Preference Index) as well sociodemographic data. addition, logistic regression analysis was significant differences univariate independent variables existence implementation dependent variable.
